In order to be able to think about \u201cgood futures,\u201d do we need to emphasize more on trust in our interpersonal relationships rather than in abstract systems? \u00a0&#8211; The project group <a href=\"https:\/\/www.awhamburg.de\/en\/research\/project-groups\/futures-utopias-and-dystopias.html\">\u201cFutures, Utopias, and Dystopias\u201d<\/a> of the Academy of Sciences and Humanities in Hamburg, founded at the beginning of the year, visited HIAS on October 9 and 10 to discuss its interdisciplinary perspectives on the topic, including with the DFG Humanities Center for Advanced Study <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zukuenfte-nachhaltigkeit.uni-hamburg.de\">\u201cFutures of Sustainability\u201d<\/a> at the University of Hamburg, as well as in the frame of the panel discussion about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zukuenfte-nachhaltigkeit.uni-hamburg.de\/kolleg\/newsroom\/2025-09-10-registration-open-young-scholars-conference-time-justice.html\">\u201cClimate Turbulence, Justice, and Democratic Experimentation\u201d<\/a> by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sydney.edu.au\/arts\/about\/our-people\/academic-staff\/david-schlosberg.html\">David Schlosberg<\/a> (University of Sydney) with author and internet activist <a href=\"https:\/\/kubragumusay.com\/\">K\u00fcbra G\u00fcr\u00fcmsay<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.otago.ac.nz\/politics\/staff\/dr-christine-winter\">Christine Winter<\/a> (University of Otago), and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zukuenfte-nachhaltigkeit.uni-hamburg.de\/kolleg\/team-zweite-phase\/hwang.html\">Juneseio Hwang<\/a> (University of Hamburg).
