{"id":5569,"date":"2022-03-08T14:11:00","date_gmt":"2022-03-08T13:11:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/novamondo-dev.de\/hias\/?p=5569"},"modified":"2025-01-06T11:35:18","modified_gmt":"2025-01-06T10:35:18","slug":"hias-research-fellowships-for-ukrainian-academics-cultural-professionals-at-risk-paused-until-further-notice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hias-hamburg.de\/en\/hias-research-fellowships-for-ukrainian-academics-cultural-professionals-at-risk-paused-until-further-notice\/","title":{"rendered":"HIAS Research Fellowships for Ukrainian Academics\/ Cultural Professionals at Risk\/ paused until further notice"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">***All fellowships awarded until further notice***<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">HIAS supports the initiative&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/hias-hamburg.de\/en\/science-bridge-for-the-ukraine\/\">Science Bridge for Ukraine<\/a>&nbsp;of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg and awards with immediate effect<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><strong>Research Fellowships<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>for Ukrainian Scholars\/ Cultural Professionals at Risk<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u20ac 2,000\/ month I duration 3 \u2013 10 months<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a fellow, the academic or cultural professional will join the ongoing interdisciplinary and international fellowship program, which includes the following services:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>an office space in the center of Hamburg<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>technical equipment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>support in research or other tasks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>participation in interdisciplinary colloquia and events<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>integration into Hamburg\u2019s academic or cultural community through a cooperation with Hamburg-based colleagues<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>assistance regarding accommodation and childcare.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, HIAS pays a monthly stipend of about \u20ac 2,000 (depending on family status).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The following conditions must be met:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the applicant is a scholar or scientist (from the postdoc level onwards) or a cultural professional (with a Master\u2019s degree) and speaks English fluently (level B)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the applicant lives in Ukraine and is at risk due to the political situation (and has no other residence in Hamburg)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the applicant has already fled Ukraine or will have to flee Ukraine<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the applicant does not have an employer in Hamburg<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the applicant is willing to continue their work in active exchange with international colleagues.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In order to react as quickly as possible to the political situation, the applicant is not required to submit a detailed application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Please send the following documents and information informally and in English by email with reference \u201cUkraine\u201d to&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:application@hias-hamburg.de\">application@hias-hamburg.de<\/a>:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>CV incl. proof of academic degree (scientists from postdoc-level onwards;
