PFAS chemicals, the ubiquitous health and environmental threat

Reproductive physician Padula Amy has been researching the dangers of #PFAS chemicals in pregnancy effects on children’s immune health for longer, now they are finally being discussed in the German media. Recently in the Süddeutsche Zeitung

During her fellowship she is working with the PRINCE Cohort, a pregnancy study in Hamburg led by Dr. Petra Arck, where they follow pregnant women and their children and measure health outcomes. She quantifies per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances in maternal blood and determine if levels of these chemicals affect children’s immune systems as measured by vaccine responses.
