From city creeks to the ocean, from droughts to floods, from scarcity to waste and pollution:
From October 13 to November 20, representatives from science, politics, culture, and civil society will discuss water as a habitat and resource at Hamburg Horizonte.
The focus will be on water consumption in households and industry, the state of our waters, conflicts over access to water worldwide, and the importance of oceans, rivers, and lakes as habitats. Nineteen scientific and science- communicating institutions from Hamburg are contributing to the diverse and interactive program of discussions, lectures, guided tours, and exhibitions.
The events are free and take place at various locations in Hamburg. Information and registration: www.hamburger-horizonte.de.
The Hamburger Horizonte is an initiative of the Körber Foundation, the University of Hamburg and HIAS.
