Thomas Sugrue, Silver Professor of History and Social and Cultural Analysis at the New York University, visits HIAS for this evening talk.
He traces key Trump administration priorities concerning civil rights and racial politics, the relationship of business and government, and immigration policy to his pre-presidential career in real estate and urban development.
The talk will be introduced and moderated by Warren Breckman, Sheldon and Lucy Hackney Professor of History at the University of Pennsylvania and University of Hamburg 2025-2026.
