#Thursday Colloquium with Mohammad Reza Farzanegan
In his presentation, Mohammad Reza Farzanegan will use Iran as a case study to examine how international sanctions affect the economy and society. He will show how sanctions impact growth, inflation, and investment, and why the middle class in particular is coming under pressure. Further he will discuss the consequences this has for social tensions, protests, and political stability in the country.
