The Totem Pole Journey as Indigenous-led approach to biocultural diversity
Thursday Colloquium

#Thursday Colloquium with Barbara Muraca

A Lummi-led project, the Totem Pole Journey, frames the space and conditions for cross-cultural encounters and knowledge sharing across diverse tribal communities and with settlers’ society, including oral storytelling, ceremony, art and science, spirituality, ancestral knowledge, and engagement with the totem pole as a work of art. It is an Indigenous-led, transdisciplinary framework for communication, consultation, and partnership. The lecture by Barbara Muraca will address the challenge of engaging academically with the TPJ taking a decolonial approach in environmental philosophy.

This event is addressed to fellows and their tandem partners.
