HIAS meets#04: “in utero – a critical time and place for environmental links to disease”

This roundtable conversation, initiated by Amy Padula and hosted by the Joachim Herz Stiftung, will enable an informal exchange between the participants who are experts in medical research, maternal-fetal medicine, epidemiology, economics, and policy.
One important point for discussion will be on the relationship between the environment and human health in vulnerable populations.

  • How can we best quantify and understand this relationship?
  • What can we learn about the reproductive and immunological systems by studying environmental
    stressors?
  • What are the implications for public health regulation and care of pregnant people?
This event is for invited experts only.
